BA Environmental Studies and Film and Television Studies (UVM '26), Place-Based Education Certificate (UVM '26)
First aid, CPR, life guard certified

Jack is a recent UVM graduate from Charlottesville, Virginia. After taking the class “Birding to Change the World” as part of his environmental studies degree, in which he helped lead an afterschool birding club for fourth and fifth graders at Flynn elementary, he fell in love with outdoor/environmental education. Jack went on to complete the Place-Based Education certificate. Through that program he gained experience in creating learning materials, experiences, curriculum, and more to promote connection to the outdoors and create a sense of place for learners. Jack has also been working as an afterschool counselor and one-on-one at an elementary school for the past year. He has always had a fondness for working with kids, and is excited to get to do that more in an outdoor setting. Outside of studies and work, Jack is a yes-man with a wide variety of hobbies. He loves to act, sing, go hiking and birding, attempt to teach himself guitar, and play board games and D&D.
