Demystify the bizarre, extol the banal, and celebrate the gross

What is the Wild Burlington Society?

Imagine a small, cozy room. There’s a fragrant smoke emanating from the hearth worming its way into the dark wooden walls. A group is huddled in the corner, hunched over a small pile of found treasures. They’re puzzling over the function of glands on the tips of the teeth of a common buckthorn leaf. Or maybe they’re fiercely debating the utility of the invasive species concept. Perhaps someone is giving a presentation on the history of spongy moth outbreaks in Vermont. The point here is that a group of nerdy naturalists has made it a practice to regularly gather to dig into the many facets of natural history.

Gatherings will take on different forms from month to month, ranging from lectures, workshops, trivia games, discussion.

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT TOPICS AND UPCOMING EVENTS?
