Brendan Brady (He/Him)
Staff Mentor
B.A. Environmental Studies, Minor: Wilderness Education (SUNY Potsdam '11)
Brendan’s love for exploring connections with the natural world, especially with kids of all ages has been a constant force throughout his life. Adventuring in the outdoors while growing up in New York state helped contribute to his lifelong goal of sharing that experience with others. From the wilderness of the Adirondacks, high trails of Colorado, to the streams of Alaska and Vermont, his adventures lead him all around the country furthering his love for the outside world. While attending college, Brendan worked during the summers at Dyken Pond Environmental Center, which was his first experience in this field and is still one of his favorite natural places to visit. His major in environmental studies and minor in wilderness education helped shape his hands-on approach to mentoring kids in the outdoors through explorations, imagination, Leave No Trace principles, and tuning into the natural wonders around us. He loves teaching about mushrooms, trees, aquatic insects, bugs of all kinds, and exploring different habitats. Working for an outdoor education center for many years in southeastern Vermont, Brendan was dedicated to experiential learning leading groups in team building, woods elements and managing rope courses for multiple seasonal/summer programs. He is excited to join the Crows Path team of creative, loving mentors to grow and learn from. There is nothing more exciting to Brendan than learning and practicing new things. When not in camp, he can be found bouldering, playing guitar, practicing Judo, hiking with his partner, and playing with their two tuxedo cats, Castor and Cannoli.
