Jacob (Jake) Albee

I grew up in Strafford, VT, but have lived in Burlington, for the most part, since I enrolled at UVM in the fall of 1994. Since then, I have been in love with our City and this part of the world, and my wife and I are the proud parents of two Crow’s Path alumni. Growing up in a very rural setting, with a half-mile driveway and surrounded by nothing but acres of woods and old pastures, it was a challenge for me to picture raising kids in an urban environment, even one as close to nature as Burlington is. Crow’s Path was the vital piece of the puzzle, the one that made it possible in my head. My kids could have the benefits of the diversity and opportunity available in the city, but they would also be able to feel comfortable and inspired and free in the way that only the natural world can do. I’m so grateful to this organization, and am excited to be a part of trying to make it better every day, and available to everyone who needs it.
