Melissa Parr (She/Her)
Board Member (2025 - Present)
Melissa has been rooted in Vermont for nearly 15 years, where she balances the chaos and magic of life with her partner and two amazing boys, a dog named Beans, and a flock of 12 chickens. When she’s not catching up on her reading for book club with one son or learning Fortnite tactics from the other, she can be found working at the University of Vermont’s Fellowships, Opportunities, & Undergraduate Research (FOUR) office, helping students get excited about and involved with undergraduate research. A true wanderer at heart, she grew up exploring the forests of Minnesota and the beaches of Cape Cod, which sparked her deep love for both the woods and the sea. Her adventures eventually led her to live off-grid in the Bahamas for four years, where she SCUBA dove, learned spearfishing, explored, and delved into learning about traditional Bahamian “Bush Medicine”. With a BS in Marine Biology and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Study from UVM, she’s passionate about educational equity and accessibility. When she’s not racing sailboats on Lake Champlain in the summer or curled up with a good book by the fire in the winter, you’ll find her gardening or dreaming up new ways to inspire young minds. She’s thrilled to contribute to Crow’s Path, bringing her energy, curiosity, and love of the outdoors to the board as the organization continues to grow and evolve.
