Thanks for the comment Heidi. These beavers are unfortunately being trapped and killed (thumbs up given by the natural area manager at UVM). It's still unclear why the beavers needed to be trapped since there are a number of reasons they should be left at least until the spring when they'd move out on their own or could be relocated.
Any idea about the argument for removing them from retention ponds and how to fight that?
